A really good pic of my sissy, Mel. This was taken, oh, about 2002??? Can't remember what file I found it in yesterday. Some folks think we look a lot alike. She's two years younger than me. The person in the world most "kin" to me! And I love her with all my heart!!
Mel got her masters in Clinical Psychology from ASU a couple of years ago and is now working at the prison .....hmmmm....it's up in the high country, Avery County, I believe. Anyway, she loves the work, is very rewarded by it.
Sandy (Hayes) told the funniest story the other night at Olivia's opening: said that they'd pulled up to the prison to pick up Mel, and Sandy was like, OMG, Mel actually does work at a prison!! Sandy saw the fence with the barbed wire dressing it, she saw the guards with guns and the tower and it just hit her where Mel works! It might intimidate us but she really enjoys her work. And I happy for her!!
If you do what you love--you'll never work a day in your life! Who said that???
